Hello everyone!!!
Hope everyone had a wonderful and safe weekend; Hayden sure has! Saturday night (at 9:00) nurses were able to feed him breast milk (through his tummy tube), and the feedings have been successful since then (he is fed every 3 hours). He is even allowed to lie on his tummy to help better digest the milk. Of course, with any preemie starting breast milk, there is a chance of Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC), an intestinal infection unique to preemies (same thing Lisa had)…so let’s all pray that he avoids this speed bump!!
He now weighs 2lbs 3 oz. and will hopefully be able to use nasal respiratory help soon. I will be uploading more pics of our little guy soon!
