Hello everyone!! Just got back from visiting Hayden and thought I’d catch y’all up on some info!
First off, yesterday was Hayden’s 1 MONTH OLD BIRTDAY!!! He is still amazing everyone with his strength! He is also up to 2 lbs 12 oz and drinking 18 cc (little more than ½ ounce) of formula!! He is growing by the minute!!!
The past few days have been a little bumpy; Hayden has been very irritated and uncomfortable =( He had his first head tap (drawing spinal fluid from his brain) on Sunday and it tested positive for an infection called “Group D Enterococcous”. Nurses are trying to treat it with simple antibiotics, so please pray that they work! His temp and heart rate are still a little high, but we hope the antibiotics will lower them! Hopefully, this is nothing to be too concerned with, but will keep y’all updated…in the meantime, say a few extra prayers for him.
Keep Hayden and his family in your thoughts & prayers they still have a long journey ahead of them.
